1.Working Principle

Utilizes a built-in electric compressor to generate a high-speed stream of gas.

2.Nebulization Mechanism - Bernoulli Principle & Baffling

High-speed compressed air passes through a narrow Venturi in the nebulizer cup,

creating a negative pressure (Bernoulli's Principle) that draws the medication solution into the airstream where it is sheared.

The liquid then impacts a baffle, further breaking it down into fine aerosol particles.

3.Particle Size Generated

Typically generates aerosol particles with a Mass Median Aerodynamic Diameter (MMAD) in the range of 1-5 micrometers (μm).

This size range is considered optimal for inhalation, allowing effective deposition in the bronchial and alveolar regions.

4.Medication Compatibility

Compatible with most nebulizable solution and suspension medications

(e.g., bronchodilators, inhaled corticosteroids, antibiotics, mucolytics).

Generally not suitable for suspensions intended for metered-dose inhalers (MDIs) or oily solutions.

(Note: Budesonide suspension is specifically formulated for nebulization).

5.Output Rate / Nebulization Time

The rate of aerosol output (amount of medication delivered per unit time) is relatively slow.

Completing a standard dose (typically 2.5-5ml of solution) usually takes 5-15 minutes.

The rate is influenced by compressor power, nebulizer cup design, and medication viscosity.
